We are going through an exciting period of growth and we are now looking for a talented Marketing and Bids Executive to join our business. This role will be remote while Covid-19 restrictions are in place, but as we emerge from the pandemic, the role will be based at our Head Office in Preston.

Role 

This is split role across marketing and bids – 60/40, reporting directly to the marketing director and working closely with the Sales Director. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting Independent Group’s bids by administering, tracking, creation and delivery of high-quality bids and proposals. Additionally, the role involves overseeing implementation of the agreed business marketing plan, through the provision of ongoing daily management and delivery of key marketing tasks. This is a busy and varied role, where the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the continued growth of our business

Principal Accountabilities 

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of campaigns and activity as outlined in the marketing strategy and plan.
  • Manage and update the marketing activity calendar – report on KPIs
  • Maintain and update company website and LinkedIn corporate account
  • Monitor competitor activity
  • Support on bid document production
  • Stay informed about the market, industry trends, and the competitive landscape
  • Create content for a variety of channels including our website; case studies, testimonials, proposal templates, slide deck templates, marketing materials and more
  • Work with the business to ensure comms alignment and consistency across all channels
  • Co-ordinate with divisional heads and subject matter experts to produce quality content and proactive communications that raises the brand awareness of each business (II, Ansa, iDR)
  • Work closely with the business development team to activate

  • Ability, energy and confidence to work autonomously and within a team
  • Excellent communication (including written skills), organisation, prioritisation and time management skills
  • Enthusiasm for marketing and willingness to learn
  • Very organised, with a high attention to detail
  • Strong relationship builder with wider teams

  • Self-motivated, uses initiative and problem solver
  • Work to tight deadlines with a can-do attitude
  • Good document production skills in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint
